Privacy Policy

Who we are

Our website address is: https://shihwang.eu.

This website is operated by 王詩婷. If you have any questions about this privacy policy or your personal data, you can contact us at shih.veganwonderland@gmail.com.

Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd. (Cyprus). When you visit the site, the server automatically records technical information that your browser sends, such as your IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. This data is needed to deliver the website securely and to detect and prevent misuse. Server log files are deleted after a short period, unless they are needed to investigate a security incident.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact form and email

If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the information you provide (your name, company/brand name if given, email address, subject and message) in order to answer your enquiry. Messages sent through the contact form are delivered to our email inbox. We do not use this information for any other purpose without your consent.

Group-buy orders

Orders for our group-buy events are placed via our official LINE account (operated by LY Corporation, Japan). To process and ship your order we collect the information you send us, such as your name, phone number, the convenience store chosen for pick-up and payment confirmation details. This information is shared only with our helper in Taiwan who prepares the shipment and with the convenience-store delivery service, to the extent necessary to deliver your order. The privacy policy of LINE also applies when you use LINE.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select "Remember Me", your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

This website uses Google AdSense, an advertising service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"), to display ads.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and to other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before any advertising cookies are set. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via the cookie settings link on this website. Without consent, only non-personalised ads (which may still use cookies for frequency capping and fraud prevention) may be shown.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info. For more information on how Google uses data, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics (via the MonsterInsights plugin) to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as pages visited, time spent on the site and the type of device used. These analytics cookies are only set after you have given consent. You can learn more at Google’s Privacy Policy.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

With your consent, data collected through advertising and analytics cookies (such as your IP address, device information and browsing behaviour on this site) is shared with Google and its advertising partners as described in the "Advertising" and "Analytics" sections above. This data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the EU, including the United States.

Legal basis for processing

If you are in the European Union, we process your personal data on the following legal bases under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) – for advertising and analytics cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.
  • Performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) – for processing group-buy orders and enquiries related to them.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) – where we are required to keep records, e.g. under tax law.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) – for operating a secure website (server logs, spam protection), answering general enquiries and managing comments.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Contact form messages and emails are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and are then deleted, unless there is a reason to keep them (for example an ongoing business conversation). Order information is kept for as long as needed to complete the order and handle any questions about it, and beyond that only where statutory retention periods (for example under tax law) require it. Cookie lifetimes are shown in the cookie settings on this website.

What rights you have over your data

Under the GDPR you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • the right of access to the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR);
  • the right to rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR);
  • the right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), except for data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes;
  • the right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR);
  • the right to data portability, i.e. to receive your data in a machine-readable format (Art. 20 GDPR);
  • the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR);
  • the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal (Art. 7(3) GDPR).

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at shih.veganwonderland@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state of your residence or of the alleged infringement.

Where your data is sent

Some of the service providers named in this policy (Google, LINE) may process data outside the European Union, for example in the United States or Japan. Where this is the case, the transfer is based on an adequacy decision of the European Commission (such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the adequacy decision for Japan) or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time, for example when we add new features or services to the website. The current version is always available on this page.
